| History of the Delray Beach Chorale | |
|---|---|
In 1982, a number of Delray Beach residents, determined to organize a South Palm Beach County community chorus in order to perform choral masterpieces at the highest artistic level, established the Delray Beach Chorale. Over the years, the Chorale has performed numerous choral works by a variety of composers. Our repertoire includes classical works by composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven and more contemporary works by composers such as George Gershwin and John Rutter. In August of 2001, the Delray Beach Chorale participated as "Chorus in Residence" at the Classical Music Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria during which it performed Haydn's Harmoniemesse and Mozart's Mass in C-Minor.
